Planning is beginning for updates to Solano Avenue. The last set of updates occurred in the early 00's (West of the BART tracks), and the City is working on updates to the rest of the Avenue.
NOW IS YOUR BEST CHANCE TO BE HEARD!
If you have a business on or near Solano Avenue, there's a good chance that your business will be affected by these changes (not to mention the construction period). The best time to have influence on the changes is early in the process -- that's NOW.
This event includes a walk along a few blocks of Solano to observe what is in place, and then a workshop at the Albany Community Center to generate ideas and collect concerns for the project. Refreshments will be provided at the Workshop.
Wednesday, May 30th
5:00pm - 6:00pm - Walking Assessment of Solano Avenue
6:00pm - 8:30pm - Community Design Workshop
Walking Tour: Meet in front of Flowerland
Workshop: Albany Community Center (1247 Marin Ave.)
We have merchants right now on San Pablo Avenue who are upset about changes that are heading there way. There's no way to know for sure, but some of the problems may have been avoided with more voices early in the process of planning those changes. Now is the time for those voices for Solano Avenue.
If your business is on or near Solano Avenue, you owe it to your business and the city to be heard!
